A couple weeks ago was Korean Thanksgiving (Chu Seok). Growing up in the states, we always had turkey, stuffing and all the fixings during Thanksgiving but for my parents it was important for Karen and I to learn our roots and remember our ancestors during Korean Thanksgiving, which is based on the moon calendar. It's really about gathering with the family to share a meal together.
There are definitely traditional foods that are usually there such as bin-dae-duk (korean pancakes) and kogi (marinated beef) but this year we wanted to do a little bit of an upgrade and put our own twist... OK I'm going to stop writing and just let you see for yourself. Eat up!
